The Emirati researcher in African affairs, Dr. Amina Al-Aryami, says: “The distinguished journalist Majead Holonko from ‘Joliba’ TV in the Republic of Mali once asked me about the determinants of the Gulf vision for West Africa after some political systems succeeded in curbing French influence. He asked what the reasons were that pushed the Gulf countries to develop a new concept of national and regional security in coordination with African parties that were, until recently, outside the scope of the Gulf political agenda. And how can we eliminate the phenomenon of cultural and intellectual alienation, which has played a role in strengthening the psychological barriers between the African and Gulf components?”
